The 2014 CrossFit Games Open is almost upon us.  Now is your chance to sign up and represent The Foundry on the international stage! Compare yourself to friends and strangers around the world and set scores to re test later in the year. Competition is a great way to help yourself improve.

What is the Open?

The Open consists of 5 workouts released across 5 weeks and you will receive a score for each one to be added to The Foundry Team Scores. Workout 14.1 will be released on Thursday the 27th at 7pm and scores must be submitted to the games website by Monday at 7pm. The Open stage of the competition takes place at the gym. Each week as new workouts are scored, the points are updated and rankings are adjusted. At the conclusion of the five week competition, the top 60 men and women and the top 30 teams are invited to Regionals.

What if I’m awesome? Regionals!

The top athletes and teams in each region from the Open will move onto Regionals. The best athletes and teams at Regionals will compete at the CrossFit Games, the world’s premier test to find the Fittest on Earth. Our region (North Central) comprises IL, WI, MN, IO, MO, AR, ND, SD, NE, KS, and OK and for the past three years our regional has been held in Chicago or nearby. The Regionals take place over three days, with the top three men, women, and teams advancing to the Championships in California.

When can I do the workout?

Every week we will be programming the workout in to the regular classes all day Friday and you will have a chance to have your score recorded.
